The May Show

The May Show is an annual dance concert performed by The Company as well as the Jr Company.

It will be held in the CHS cafeteria on May 18 - 20th at 7:00 p.m. The May Show includes dances from a variety of genres and amazing performances.

Jordyn Blackburn, Dance Company, states she is excited for the May Show. When asked if she had been in the May Show before, she said, “Yes, I was in the May Show last year and it was so much fun but my favorite part was being onstage and just having fun dancing and doing what I love!”

Another dancer,Olivia Lemmon, says she is excited but nervous for the May Show. She would like the audience to know that, “We (Dance Company) worked really hard behind the scenes to bring them (audience) an exciting and technical show that will hopefully top last year.”

This will be Brianna Martinez's first year performing in the May Show and she also watched it as an audience member last year. The Jr Company dancer says it was “one of the best productions I have ever seen.” She would like the audience to know “how hard we worked on the show and that we put all of our effort and pride into it.”

Junior Company, Chloe Ford, says her favorite part of the May Show was the senior solos.

Dancer Mariah Suarez, describes the May Show as “A time for all of us girls to come together and work as a team to show our school and community including friends and family what we have been working on so hard all year long.” She advises the audience to “come with an open mind to find your own unique way of interpreting what we (Dance Company) do.”

The last interviewee, Hannah Nguyen from Junior company, says she is “Beyond excited for May Show.” She says she has not watched the May Show before, but she has heard that it continues to amaze everyone every year. She says, “I would like the audience to know that the support and love for us dancers and choreographers are deeply appreciated and that we've worked really hard to put this show together and lastly we hope you will enjoy it!”

The May Show will surely be an entertaining. Jr Company and Dance Company are so excited to perform and they hope you can come and watch!!
