Looking for a show to watch? Try watching Grey’s Anatomy! The drama, which is rated five stars on Netflix and has many awards to its name, is created by Shonda Rhimes. Twelve seasons are available on Netflix, and the networks Lifetime and ABC both air episodes for season 13. Not interested just yet? Read more about the show right here!

Grey’s Anatomy is a series that revolves around a surgeon, Meredith Grey (portrayed by Ellen Pompeo), and how her life unfolds as she moves through her career at Seattle Grace Hospital. However, the show is about so much more than just a couple of doctors performing surgeries and saving lives. Viewers often find themselves becoming emotionally invested in the show, which is what makes the show so much more entertaining. Every episode tests the doctors, both in their personal and professional lives. The show is also very relatable in the way that real-life situations are depicted in the characters’ lives.

Watching this series is a commitment. There are several seasons, each with over 20 episodes that run for about 40 minutes. Don’t be discouraged though, not having to search for something new to watch for a while can be a good thing. It may seem like a lot to take in, but once one begins to watch, it is difficult to stop. One episodes rolls into the next and it is hard to get enough.

Many individuals worry that the show may be too graphic for them. As a squeamish person, I have not yet encountered anything that was too much to handle. Besides, the show is so outstanding that it is easy to forget my fear of blood and needles while surgeries are in progress.

Another pro to watching the show is the knowledge that comes with it. No, people aren’t going to finish the series and be able to perform flawless surgeries using their knowledge from the show, but it’s still interesting to learn some medical terminology and even getting a glimpse on what happens in the O.R. Of course it is not exactly the same as what real surgeons do, but it is still fun to think that you’ve seen a doctor perform a craniotomy.

Many characters have come and gone, which is something that becomes a norm in the world of Grey’s. Overall the show is a master at making the audience emotional. Episodes will give one anxiety, a feeling of joy, sadness, and so many mixed emotions that draws one back weekly!!
