A new year is a perfect time to START OVER. Many people make and break resolutions every year. For example, a few may want to lose or gain weight. Some may want to improve their grades or studying tactics. These are average, everyday examples of New Year’s resolutions, BUT have you heard of anyone ever wanting to start going to McDonalds everyday? Or quit using toothpaste? Resolutions can be anything you want, but some people can take them a bit too seriously. Here are two examples of unusual New Year’s Resolutions from “TheTopTens.com”.
The strangest resolution is shaving your head after every lie. This means one must stay completely bald for any lie told, even if it is as simple as, “no, I’m not hungry.” There goes your hair! Some people were a little confused about this resolution and had a few questions to ask, “What if you lie before your hair grows back? Do you shave your scalp? Then skull? Then brain?”. Ready for the truth? This is just a silly resolution someone made up!
Another crazy resolution is destroying your video game consoles. Now this is insane! People argued they would not ruin something they spent a hundred dollars or more on, which is understandable. On the other hand, few insisted it would be a great and a fun way to quit their video game addiction. To contradict that, some said they would eventually go insane without it and would have to buy a new one, which would be another hundred plus dollars.
These crazy and weird resolutions are fairly amusing. What are your unusual New Year’s Resolutions? Hopefully nothing as crazy as shaving your head or destroying expensive video game consoles.
