With the brand new school year came a new season of Canyon's girl's volleyball. Our varsity team currently holds a close record of 5 wins and 7 losses. The girls have been practicing nonstop to improve their skills, which is something that showed in their performance when I went to some games a few weeks ago. Not only do the girls display great skill, but they also have a strong team bond. It helps them get along on and off the court, creating team union and longer, more entertaining rallies.

In an interview with Kamryn Tucker, a sophomore varsity volleyball player, I caught a glimpse of what it is like to be a team member. Kamryn believes that the overall performance of the team has been positive and that the team has many excellent players. Although they are still learning how to play as a team, she believes that the daily practicing for two hours will help them move forward in the right direction. Kamryn loves being on the team because she is able to play a sport that she loves with people she enjoys. Kamryn states, “Volleyball really is a team sport, and support is always needed and I feel like my teammates have my back on and off the court.” The players are clearly dedicated and work extremely hard both on and off season.
