Fall Fashion

Summer is slowly coming to an end, and it’s time to swap out your tank tops for sweaters. Despite living in California, fall fashion still differs quite a lot from summer fashion. The weather cools down and becomes bearable, leaves change color, and there’s even a certain crispness in the air. I asked Martha Kim (11) and Jenna Albaroudi (11) why they love fall fashion. Jenna Albaroudi (11) said, “I love fall fashion because it makes me feel cozy and I love to curl up by the fire with my favorite sweater while drinking hot cocoa.” Martha said, “I get happy because I can wear warmer color tones. I also like how fall fashion eases into winter with all the dark lipsticks, boots, and scarves.”

Forget about all those bright summer colors and start wearing warmer colors. Colors like plum, brown, maroon, forest green, brick, dark orange, and charcoal gray are all fall colors to get in on. The best part is that all of these colors go together, so you can totally mix and match!

It’s finally the time to break out those long sleeves! Knit/over-sized sweaters, hoodies, and flannels are definitely the classics. Make your outfit cozy by throwing on a cute

sweater with some leggings and boots. Styling a sweater over a skirt with some knit socks and ankle boots is also really trendy. You can literally never go wrong with a flannel; they can be worn as a buttoned up shirt or used as an accessory either as a jacket or around your waist.

Fall accessories are always fun because there’s just so much variety. Just think about how great it is to be able to wear a scarf without suffering from all the heat. Scarves complete any and every fall look. Knit socks are definitely a fall must have. They keep your toes nice and warm all while making your outfit even cuter with literally no effort, they’re honestly just perfect. Hats are always a nice accessory to add to any outfit, but during fall, you can wear snug beanies! Beanies are like socks for your head, they’re so cozy!

I know I probably said the word, “cozy” a tad too much, but honestly it just defines fall so perfectly. So now that your mind is full of all these wonderful tips, start preparing your wardrobe for fall, because it’s quite a time to be alive.
